The bible says that after digging through the roof the men lowered the mat that the paralyzed man was lying on down to where jesus was. B it was noised that he was in the house. B mark 2 1 12. C 17 and it came to pass on one of those days b when he entered again into capernaum after some days c that he was teaching.

Imagine listening carefully to jesus when all of a sudden you hear something coming from above you. The story begins with the paralyzed man s friends finding a way to get him in front of jesus. The attempt to get the paralytic in front of jesus called for extreme measures that included moving tiles on the roof which indicates that the house was owned by a wealthy man because most roofs were made of clay or straw and lowering their friend down to jesus.
